Welcome home to Texas AutoHaus

Good ideas aren’t always born from sudden “ah-ha” moments; more often, they’re the result of years of diverse experiences, places, people, and the collision of needs, wants, and aspirations.

For me, Texas AutoHaus really began with my brother and his 1963½ Galaxie 500 R-code. That car represented an era; the muscle car, the rebel, the freedom of the open road, and the thrill of speed. His Galaxie 500 was special then, and remains so now; architecturally beautiful, defined by raw power, and deeply respected by fellow enthusiasts. It was the perfect union of art and engineering. That car ignited my lifelong passion for the automobile; for its craft, its mechanics, its beauty of form and detail, and the soul-lifting joy of being behind the wheel.

Years later, after graduation and my first job, I rewarded myself with a 1984 Porsche 944; midnight blue with a cognac interior. That moment began a long tradition of “gifting” cars to myself. Over the past fifty years, I’ve been fortunate to own many remarkable vehicles, both classic and contemporary; and that love has carried forward to my son, Marc Jacob.

Marc and I now lead a hospitality architecture and design firm together in the heart of the city. As our shared collection of cars grew, so did the question: Where do we keep them? Like many of our friends, we wanted something close, secure, and personal; not a distant warehouse, but a space with character, quality, and convenience.

That search led us to what we call “The Gap”; a zone south of LBJ, west of Central Expressway, east of I-35, and north of downtown Dallas. Despite being surrounded by thriving neighborhoods like Preston Hollow and the Park Cities, there were no intimate, high-quality garages designed for people like us.

So we decided to create a development that could be a unique melding of residence and garage.

Texas AutoHaus is a 34-garage private compound designed for those who live and breathe their automotive passions. Just four minutes from Love Field and within 10 minutes of the Park Cities, it combines convenience, exclusivity, and refined design. Each garage residence includes a full kitchen and bath, allowing owners to truly live with their passion.

To make the experience seamless, we formed Dream Outfitters, a division of our design firm dedicated to helping each owner personalize their space. Why buy an unfinished shell and then manage a complex build-out yourself? We offer to deliver each garage residence curated to the owner’s taste; elevated, effortless, and ready to enjoy.

Texas AutoHaus is now in the permitting phase, with construction set to begin in February 2026 and completion scheduled for November of that year.

More than a project, it’s a culmination of decades of design, passion, and the pursuit of freedom; a place where craftsmanship, speed, and lifestyle come together under one roof.

Marc and I are passionate about elevating the collector’s experience; creating a new standard for garage residences that offer both refined design and personal escape. Texas AutoHaus is more than a place to store your collection; it’s a destination for your passion, designed for you with thoughtful convenience, privacy, and discretion in mind.
